It is a deep ruby wine with violet and purple shades. A complex mix of aromas: fresh red and black fruit (berries, cassis, blackberry, blueberry), unsweetened cocoa, roasted (coffee). In the mouth, the precursors are reiterated and candied fruit flavors appear (fig). The tannins are firm and moderately sweet. This wine was aged in new French oak barrels for 18 months and may continue aging in bottle for more than 20 years. Pairs best with red meats (roasted) and marinated in wine, roasted, stewed orchard, stuffed pasta with meat ragout (lasagna), potato cake, stew, hard cheeses and refined.
