Don Amado Reposado is aged for six months in barrels that formerly held Pedro Domecq Mexican Brandy. This mezcal has notes of fresh lime, green olives, peppercorn, green tea, and minerals. The barrel aging gives it strong flavors of sweet oak and caramel . It’s a bit honeyed and oily on the palate. This mezcal is a great option for experienced mezcal drinkers as well as beginners. The similarities between this and many tequilas make this a good stepping stone for traditional tequila drinkers.
