Kat Walker Sauvignon Blanc 2017- 2017 is the first vintage of Kat Walker, a collaboration between Ant Moore and Andrew Blake. A great deal of variation and variety are included in the parcels used for this Sauvignon Blanc cuvée, all coming from Ant Moore’s own vineyards – some canopies are opened up to expose some fruit to the sun, others are left shaded, crops are kept at different levels, and harvest takes place at varying times to get a range of ripeness and characters, lemon/lime, stone fruits and citrus, with minerality and tightness on the palate. The wine tends to be structured and textured, though not as overt and intense as some.
